Chantey Night at the Lewes History Museum: October 1, 2019
Music has historically been a significant component to maritime culture. Specifically, sailors serving aboard merchant vessels would sing chanteys to accompany their labor and celebrate their experiences at sea. Lend your voices to history as you learn about chanteys, receive your own songbook, and take part in our very first chantey night at the Lewes History Museum.
This workshop is suitable for families, both adults and children. Pre-registration fee of $5.00 is suggested for younger visitors interested in music and singing.
This program will take place October 1, 2019 at the Lewes History Museum, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
